Former Audubon leader joins conservative green group

Andrew Mills, who led the National Audubon Society’s advocacy arm, has joined American Conservation Coalition Action.

The former head of Audubon Action Fund has jumped to a conservative environmental group.

Andrew Mills is the new managing director of American Conservation Coalition Action, a nonprofit with a mission to build the conservative environmental movement and to mobilize young Americans. Mills joined the group after leading the National Audubon Society’s advocacy arm.

Mills joined Audubon in March 2020, when he became executive director of Audubon Action Fund, splitting time as vice president for political affairs at the National Audubon Society.

He previously worked as vice president of government affairs at the Niskanen Center and as political director for Republican Tom Cotton’s Arkansas Senate campaign. Politico Playbook first reported Mills’ new job Monday.
